Visualizing data on pathways in GenMAPP requires that you have the following
files:
MAPP file (.mapp), or full MAPP archive. This can be a
MAPP you created or one you
downloaded from the GenMAPP
archives.
Expression Dataset (.gex). This can be an example file from
GenMAPP.org or a file you created from your
own data.
Gene Database file (.gdb). The
appropriate Gene Database for your species of interest must be downloaded
from GenMAPP.org. If you are working with a species not yet supported by GenMAPP, you can
also create your own
custom Gene Database.
Opening the MAPP
Load the appropriate Database in GenMAPP under Data>Choose Gene
Database.
Open the MAPP of interest under File>Open.
Loading a Gene Database and opening a MAPP
Loading the data
To load the Expression Dataset, click Data>Choose Expression Dataset
and select the file of interest.
Select a Color Set to view in the drop-down menu in
the GenMAPP Toolbar. You can also select to
view multiple Color Sets
simultaneously by clicking the Multiple Color Sets option in the
drop-down. The MAPP should now be colored based on your data and Color Sets.
